I enjoyed giving back and utilizing my skillset to make an impact on a specific organization that my team had been matched with. A great idea that should be continued past the conclusion of the pandemic.
With Covid-19’s impact, professionals like you are looking to give back, but are unsure of the most helpful and timely actions they can take to help their community.
We’ve developed HelpConnect, a project-based volunteer opportunity, to engage professionals so that they can apply their expertise to help nonprofits develop scenario plans, filled with detailed, creative solutions to address whatever the future holds.
By joining Cincinnati Cares’ HelpConnect cohort, you can roll up your sleeves, learn a new skill, develop lasting relationships, and help a nonprofit survive these challenging times.
We connect skilled volunteers like you with nonprofits looking to determine how to plan for a future with so many unknowns. If you’re new to scenario planning, no worries. We’ve engaged Dr. Emily Socash of the Nonprofit Help Center to train both volunteers and nonprofits on the latest in scenario planning, free of charge.
This was my first experience with Cincinnati cares, and I enjoyed the process, project, and the opportunity to support a local non profit. I am trying to wind down some of my legacy non profit work, but will connect in the future for new opportunity.
Overall we had a great experience. I loved meeting people who had such generous hearts that they would give their time, money and talents to make our organization better.
We enjoyed the process and found it beneficial. Happy to share our experience with others who are considering it.
