The Virtual BoardConnect Event is a unique event that gives you the opportunity to:

    • Connect one-on-one with nonprofit leaders in our community seeking to fill board positions
    • Review a list of organizations that have strong matching potential
    • Talk and decide if you are the right fit for various organizations

Serving on a nonprofit board offers you a chance to give back, use your skills, broaden your network, and become a leader in our community.

This speed-dating style board match event, powered by Cincinnati Cares’ BoardConnect technology, can help you discover what organization is the right fit for your skills and interests. The 75 minutes of matching will be divided into 5, 15-minute sessions for candidates and nonprofits to talk to their best matches.

A small fee covers your virtual ticket and you will get a $10 gift certificate to an area restaurant. The gift card will be issued only to those that attend the event.

Once you sign up to attend the event, please go to https://boards.cincinnaticares.org/ to fill out your board candidate profile so you can begin to find your best board match. (More than 250 organizations are using BoardConnect to find board and committee members.)

    Testimonials

I enjoyed giving back and utilizing my skillset to make an impact on a specific organization that my team had been matched with. A great idea that should be continued past the conclusion of the pandemic.

This was my first experience with Cincinnati cares, and I enjoyed the process, project, and the opportunity to support a local non profit. I am trying to wind down some of my legacy non profit work, but will connect in the future for new opportunity.

Overall we had a great experience. I loved meeting people who had such generous hearts that they would give their time, money and talents to make our organization better.

We enjoyed the process and found it beneficial. Happy to share our experience with others who are considering it.

My first time attending. I enjoyed the set up of speed dating and the ability to
talk to a variety of different people and nonprofits.

It’s a great way to connect with board members you would never meet otherwise.
What do you have to lose?

I highly recommend attending a board match event. It’s well organized, with great
representation from many different sectors. I walked away feeling energized and
excited and had a clear understanding of the next steps.

Joining Office Hours was helpful to get a better understanding of the key benefits
of volunteering and the unique ways Cincinnati Cares can assist me in finding
ways to give back within my workplace and personal life.

Thank you for organizing this event yesterday, it was very informative!

I enjoyed learning through the Digital Board Bootcamp.

Thanks for the reminders and for the helpful webinar today - well done!
